"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time(Ecclesiastes 1:9,10 NIV)."

The news that Eliot Spitzer paid a lot of money for sex was a shock because of his squeaky clean reputation. But the fact that people still partake in the oldest profession should not be a shock. Or that someone has cheated in their marriage. Unfortunately. I do feel bad for the family and the fact that he was a repeat customer is indicative of a deeper problem. Perhaps, a dead marriage or an arrogant man that forgot the law applied to him. Either way, it's a sad situation.

Hi Kelly
I saw that on CNN this morning and was shocked. But not surprised. (I know that probably sounds contradictory, and I'm blaming the fact that I've only had one cuppa today ALL DAY!) hehe. I'm shocked that someone in such a position of "respect" could act in such a manner so "beneath" himself and to injure his family so greatly. Especially his three children. Very sad indeed. But I'm also not surprised, because when you have all that power - I suppose it can be easy to bend the rules to suite your own interests and not think further than your... um... thingy. haha. But what a poor example. Very sad. Especially for his family and their reputations too.
